Requirements

• Licensed Registered Nurse.
• Certified cardiac device specialist CCDS certification by International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners IBHRE required.
• Five years’ experience with cardiac devices or combination of appropriate clinical license or certificate from an accredited program and experience to demonstrate competency.
• BLS Certification Required.
• Specific knowledge of cardiac devices including pacemakers, loop recorders, and Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator ICD.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Leadership or prior management skills

Responsibilities

• Ensuring quality service delivery to Implantable Cardiovert Defibrillators (ICD), implantable loop recorder (ILR), and Pacemaker patients for the Northside Hospital System.
• Staff scheduling, staff competency, proper billing and managing daily operations within all Device Clinics.
• Assisting with Cardiac Device research, policy development, and validating that equipment is properly maintained.
• Overseeing the clinical practice and patient care delivery, as well as has 24-hour accountability, and responsibility of the operations of assigned units.
• Management of human, fiscal and material resources and implementation of policies, procedures, standards and regulations.
