Requirements
- Associates degree of nursing.
- Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
- The RN shall possess and maintain a current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) / Advanced Life Support (ALS).
- Interventional Radiology (IR) requires Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- The RN shall have at least two (2) years of full-time RN experience in the last four (4) years in the Cath Lab, IR or full-time in the inpatient critical care.
Responsibilities
- Skill in setting up, operating and monitoring specialized medical equipment such as cardiac monitoring devices, EKG units, oxygen analyzers, nebulizers, and other unit specific equipment.
- Cath Lab require telemetry experience and passing the BAMC Cardiac Telemetry Test (annually) and the sedation training course.
