About The Position

Tap Healthcare Solutions is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Cardiac Catheterization Lab Registered Nurse (Cath Lab RN) to join a respected healthcare organization in Ottumwa, Iowa. In this specialized nursing role, you will support patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and other cardiovascular procedures, providing attentive care before, during, and after interventions while working closely with cardiologists and an experienced procedural team. This full-time opportunity offers a competitive salary of $71,000 – $96,000 annually and is an exciting opportunity for an RN interested in combining bedside nursing expertise with procedural cardiovascular care. You'll monitor patients throughout procedures, assist with clinical interventions, administer medications as appropriate, and help ensure a safe and reassuring experience for patients during critical moments in their cardiac care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or active multistate nursing license permitting practice in Iowa.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Strong nursing assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Ability to respond effectively to changes in patient condition within a procedural care environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, technologists, and other members of the cardiovascular team.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Cath Lab, cardiovascular, critical care, ICU, or emergency nursing experience.
  • Familiarity with cardiac catheterization procedures and pre- and post-procedure patient care.
  • Experience with cardiac monitoring, conscious sedation, and cardiovascular medications.
  • Knowledge of sterile technique and procedural safety practices.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) and cardiovascular documentation systems.
