About The Position
Under the supervision of the Director of Cardiac Services, the incumbent performs duties involving direct patient care and operation of highly sophisticated radiographic and computer equipment in the interventional cardiac catheterization laboratory. The Technologist will assist the Cardiologist and/or Interventional Cardiologist during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. The Technologist must possess a general knowledge of infection control guidelines, universal precautions, sterile procedures, and must work cohesively with a team.
Requirements
- Graduate of an RCIS program, or a graduate of a program in nursing, respiratory, paramedic, imaging, or exercise physiology.
- 1-year Healthcare Imaging, Exercise Physiology, Paramedic, Respiratory, or RN experience (no experience required if a graduate of an RCIS program).
- BCLS and ACLS Required.
- If a graduate of RCIS program, RCIS must be obtained within 24 months of hire.
