About The Position
Under the supervision of the Director of Cardiac Services, the incumbent performs duties involving direct patient care and operation of highly sophisticated radiographic and computer equipment in the interventional cardiac catheterization laboratory. The Technologist will assist the Cardiologist and/or Interventional Cardiologist during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. The Technologist must possess a general knowledge of infection control guidelines, universal precautions, sterile procedures, and must work cohesively with a team.
Requirements
- RCIS program graduate or a graduate of program in nursing, respiratory, paramedic, imaging or exercise physiology.
- 1-year Healthcare Imaging, Exercise Physiology, Paramedic, Respiratory, or RN experience. (No experience required if a graduate of an RCIS program).
- BCLS Required
- ACLS Required
Nice To Haves
- RCIS must be obtained within 24 months of hire (if a graduate of RCIS program).
