About The Position

The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist assists with diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures under the direction of a Cardiologist and/or Radiologist. The role involves scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring patients while documenting physiologic and hemodynamic data. The technologist prepares procedure rooms and sterile instrumentation, operates specialized cardiovascular imaging equipment, and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to provide safe, high-quality patient care.

This is a full-time day-shift position at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. The schedule is Monday through Friday, four 10-hour shifts, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with participation in a shared on-call rotation requiring a 30-minute response time. New graduates are encouraged to apply; no prior experience is required.

Requirements

• ARRT-R certification and state licensure as required.
• BCLS (AHA) certification required upon hire and must be maintained.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Proficient computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• VI (Vascular Interventional Technologist) certification.
• Previous experience in an Interventional Radiology department.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
• Scrub, circulate, and monitor patients while documenting physiologic and hemodynamic data.
• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and sterile instrumentation.
• Operate cardiovascular imaging equipment in accordance with departmental protocols.
• Maintain procedure supplies and equipment readiness.
• Adhere to quality, patient safety, radiation safety, and infection prevention standards.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and continuing education.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the cardiovascular team to deliver patient care.
