Cardiac Cath Lab Tech I
About The Position
The Cardiac Cath Lab Tech I assists physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures by performing Scrub or Monitor functions. The role operates and maintains equipment and supplies in the Cardiovascular Lab (CCL), ensures patient safety by recognizing cardiac arrhythmias and responding according to emergency protocols, and operates external cardiac pacemakers and defibrillators as needed. The position is based at Henry Ford Detroit in the Cardiac Catheterization department, scheduled for 36 hours per week plus call requirements, with a rotating shift. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited Allied Health Sciences program, such as Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Exercise Science, Cardiac or Vascular Sonography, or an equivalent academic program and experience.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience, preferably in a Cath Lab or Radiology, and/or registry eligibility.
- Valid BCLS certification.
- ACLS certification required within six months of hire.

- Licensure or certification in the degree field is preferred.
