Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, is a 170-bed acute care hospital offering diverse services including 24/7 ER care, cardiology, oncology, labor and delivery, level II NICU, surgical, and orthopedic services. The center values compassion, empathy, teamwork, quality, ethics, respect, service excellence, and innovation. This full-time opportunity, 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a flexible schedule. The role is for either a Cath Lab Registered Nurse or a Cardiovascular Lab Radiological Technologist. The Cath Lab Registered Nurse provides direct patient care to adult populations, focusing on psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care in the procedural/interventional environment. This includes effective communication with physicians and team members, assessing equipment readiness, assisting with supplies, monitoring and positioning patients, and administering moderate sedation under physician guidance. The Cardiovascular Lab Radiological Technologist performs cardiovascular and interventional radiological procedures, including radiographic diagnostic and interventional procedures as ordered by a licensed practitioner, ensuring optimal patient care through departmental standards and professional judgment. Both roles involve admitting, recovering, and discharging patients from the Cardiovascular Lab, providing direct patient care, evaluating outcomes, consulting with health team members, and performing head-to-toe and post-procedure assessments. The position requires a kind and respectful approach to patients and their families, addressing their psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious/spiritual needs.
