The Division of Anesthesiology at Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City is seeking a Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist to join its Cardiac Anesthesiology section. This full-time role involves a high-volume, complex cardiac and thoracic case mix, including transplants, mechanical circulatory support, aortic reconstruction, TAVR, structural heart interventions, CABG, valve surgeries, esophageal operations, and other advanced thoracic and major vascular cases. The position is primarily dedicated to cardiac anesthesia within the specialized CVOR at MAHI, with minimal assignments in the Main OR. The cardiology and heart surgery program at Mid America Heart Institute (MAHI) is nationally ranked, performing over 1600 cardiothoracic, vascular, and hybrid procedures annually. Research involvement is available, and academic appointment opportunities exist due to Saint Luke’s serving as a primary teaching site for UMKC Medical School, including an anesthesia residency program.
