About The Position

We are hiring at the Technician or Apprentice level, depending on experience. We run car washes across California, including automatic bays, self-service bays, and vacuums, and we need people to maintain all the equipment that keeps them running. We are building a team of people who take ownership of their work, show up with a good attitude, and figure things out independently. This is not a job for those who want to do the minimum and clock out.

Requirements

Mechanical aptitude – comfortable with hand tools, not afraid to get dirty.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to work independently.
Willingness to travel overnight across California when the business needs it.
Physical ability to climb ladders, work on roofs, lift 50+ lbs, and work in all weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

Experience with IBA car wash systems (Ryko, Mark VII, or similar).
Electrical troubleshooting (multimeter, schematics, breaker panels).
Plumbing (PVC, copper, water lines, chemical lines).
Experience with maintenance tracking software (MaintainX or similar).
Experience in HVAC, industrial maintenance, plumbing, electrical, automotive repair, or facilities maintenance.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on IBA wash systems, self-service bays, vacuums, payment systems, and chemical delivery equipment.
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and control system issues.
Work with multimeters, schematics, breaker panels, contactors, and single-phase and three-phase power (120/240).
Run conduit, wiring, replace wiring, and make hydraulic hoses.
Run chemical lines, water lines, PVC, and copper pipe.
Install equipment into concrete, climb ladders, and work on roofs.
Troubleshoot logically to find the root cause of problems.
Maintain the appearance of bays, lots, vacuum islands, and equipment.
Pressure wash, clean drains, and maintain the customer-facing appearance of every site.
Clean equipment using wall cleaner and pressure washer.
Document all work orders in MaintainX with photos, parts used, root cause, and next steps.
