About The Position

The Car Wash Supervisor is responsible for the supervision, training and success of the car wash team. They are responsible for developing and implementing car wash employee training, driving continual improvement of detailing standards, ensuring adherence to processes and procedures, providing performance evaluations and feedback, mentoring, coaching, interviewing and hiring new teammates and managing the detailing schedule.

Requirements

Ability to train, supervise, and motivate a team
Able to make recommendation on hiring, disciplinary actions, and termination
Excellent communication skills both, oral and written, with the ability to effectively communicate via face-to-face and by phone
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimal
Ability to understand and follow work rules and procedure
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Ability to interact well with others and work well in a team environment
Exceptional attention to detail
Able to work well with a diverse group of people and be a positive influence on team and department morale
High School Diploma or equivalent; and one year or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid driver's license

CAD detailing or supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Inspects all completed carwashes daily and ensures that all employees are highly productive, execute their jobs in an efficient manner that meets company standards and customer expectations
Schedules staff to meet anticipated business demands
Trains new employees on process and procedures
Participates in the selection of new employees and makes recommendations on disciplinary actions, performance evaluations, and termination
Acts as a player/coach in the department to train and motivate employee
Performs all the duties of car wash employees as needed
Orders necessary chemicals and supplies and assists detailers and car washers with tasks
Assists the sales department and car wash team move, park, and rearrange cars
Ensure that all vehicles are returned to display area, parked in the proper position meeting manufacturer's standards after cleaning
Ensure that the car wash team washes vehicle exterior, cleans interior and exterior windows, clears vehicles of dust/debris/fingerprints accumulated from being on display and wipes down doorjambs as required
Makes sure that car wash team rinses all vehicles on the front outdoor display line of dust and debris accumulated from outdoor conditions
Makes sure that car wash team vacuums interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris
Makes sure that car wash team shines and cleans all inside and outside display vehicles' tires and wheels
Maintains power washer vehicle, monitors gas usage, and other necessary equipment for job
Fills vehicle with fuel
Applies dressing on tires and tire wells
Removes all window stickers on sold vehicles
Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner
Uses proper eye, hand, and body protection when using products that require protection
Understands and follow work rules and procedures
Follows all attendance and punctuality standards with adherences to timekeeping standards for self and for team members supervised
Follows lawful directions from supervisors
Upholds the company's non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements
Attends company meetings as required
Works evening, weekend and holiday work hours as required
Maintains a professional appearance and a neat work area in accordance with company policy
