About The Position

The Car Wash Site Manager oversees the daily operation of a car wash site, including staffing, sales growth, profitability, customer satisfaction, and compliance with safety and vehicle damage claim procedures. The manager recruits and onboards employees, trains and coaches staff, schedules shifts in accordance with overtime policies, and supports employee engagement, performance management, and recognition. The role manages operating P&L metrics and considers how expenditures and costs affect margins and pricing. The position requires working in a typical outdoor car wash environment and performing duties safely with minimal supervision.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least three years of retail experience, including at least one year in a management role.
Unexpired driver’s license; a motor vehicle record check will be conducted on the successful candidate after an offer.
Strong leadership and communication skills, including active listening.
Experience with team building.
Excellent sales and customer service skills.
Ability to anticipate customer needs.
Proficient computer skills.
Strong work ethic and professional attitude.
Ability to work in damp and humid conditions and variable outdoor weather.
Ability to stand and walk throughout the workday; use hands; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stop, crouch, and kneel.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Ability to perform responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including hearing, eye, foot, and hand protection.

Nice To Haves

Some college education preferred.
Supervisory or assistant manager experience in a big-box retail environment, auto industry, car wash, or lube store is encouraged.

Responsibilities

Ensure the site follows approved safety procedures.
Ensure the site follows approved vehicle damage claim procedures.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Perform job responsibilities safely in accordance with standard operating procedures and OSHA safety guidelines, using required PPE.
