About The Position
The Full Service Car Wash Attendant ensures the efficient and effective operation of the car wash facility, provides exceptional customer service, and maintains a clean and organized work environment. The role includes helping customers choose services, safely operating car wash equipment, inspecting vehicles, cleaning and drying vehicles, and providing requested additional services such as waxing, vacuuming, and interior cleaning. The attendant also maintains facility cleanliness, handles transactions, responds to customer questions and concerns, and follows safety procedures. This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to read and interpret English-language safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written English communication may also be required.
- Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram-form instructions and handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing for long periods, repetitive full-body movement, lifting up to 50 pounds, exposure to weather, bending, twisting, climbing ladders, working at heights above eight feet, and standing, stooping, lifting, wiping, reaching, and typing without assistance.
- Ability to handle liquids, plastic, glass, paper, rubber, and petroleum products, and potentially work in conditions containing hydrocarbons.
- A valid driver's license may be required depending on the assigned work location.
- Must meet company insurance requirements for operating customers’ vehicles.

Responsibilities
- Greet customers and help them select the appropriate car wash service.
- Operate car wash equipment and machinery effectively and safely.
- Inspect vehicles before washing to identify existing damage.
- Use cleaning agents and tools to remove dirt, grime, and other contaminants from vehicles.
- Dry vehicles using towels or air-drying equipment.
- Provide additional requested services, including waxing, vacuuming, and interior cleaning.
- Keep the facility clean and organized, including cleaning equipment, emptying trash, and replenishing supplies.
- Answer customer questions, address concerns, and resolve issues professionally and promptly.
- Keep accurate transaction records and maintain a secure cash register.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintain company insurance standards for operating customers’ vehicles at the car wash location.
