About The Position

The Car Wash Attendant greets customers, answers questions, explains wash options, and assists customers at the pay stations. The role guides vehicles into the wash tunnel and maintains the car wash site through cleaning and other upkeep tasks. Duties also include opening and closing procedures, basic troubleshooting, and other assigned responsibilities. The attendant is expected to arrive on time, follow the dress and appearance code, and perform the work safely with minimal supervision.

The position works in a typical outdoor car wash environment. Work may involve damp and humid conditions, variable outdoor weather, and moderate to excessively loud noise. Hearing protection and other personal protective equipment, including eye, foot, and hand protection, are required as applicable under OSHA safety guidelines and protocols.

• Ability to work in damp and humid conditions and in outdoor variable weather.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in noise that may be excessively loud and wear required personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer questions, and explain available wash options.
• Assist every customer at the pay stations and respond to customer inquiries.
• Guide customer vehicles into the wash tunnel.
• Maintain the car wash site by taking out garbage, sweeping the lot, and using a pressure washer to clean the wash bay.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Perform basic or light troubleshooting of daily duties.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Report to work on time and follow the dress and appearance code.
• Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols, including applicable OSHA requirements and use of personal protective equipment.
