About The Position

Spark Car Wash is a high-growth, institutionally backed express exterior car wash company serving the Northeast. Its mission is to make car washing an energizing experience and provide consistent excellence to customers and an enriching environment for employees. The Car Wash Associate delivers a safe, fast, and friendly experience and creates a welcoming environment for guests. The associate greets customers, supports membership sales, and helps maintain a clean, organized, and efficient site. Work rotates among the Pay Station, Tunnel, and Parking Lot, supporting transactions and memberships, vehicle loading and safe operations, site cleanliness, and guest assistance.

The position offers $17.00 per hour, with the opportunity to earn additional commission for each eligible membership sold. Benefits and eligibility vary: the 401(k) plan with up to a 4% company match after 90 days is available to eligible full-time and part-time employees, while medical, dental, and vision insurance are available to eligible full-time employees. Employees accrue paid sick time under applicable state laws and company policy. Holiday hours worked on observed company holidays are paid at time and a half, and employees receive a complimentary car wash plan.

Requirements

• Strong people skills and a positive, professional attitude, with pride in representing the Spark brand.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, follow instructions, manage time, and remain productive with limited direction.
• Experience using a pay station and comfort accurately and responsibly processing customer transactions, payments, and related sales activity.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot issues and help keep operations running smoothly.
• Ability to perform physical work involving hands, arms, legs, and full-body movement, including walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, and handling tools or materials.
• Ability to lift, move, or carry up to 40 pounds as needed.
• English proficiency to support customer communication and safe daily operations.
• Ability to see details at close range, including transactions, equipment, tools, vehicles, and site conditions.
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
• Availability for a flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, friendly service.
• Explain wash options, membership benefits, promotional offers, and complementary amenities to help guests make purchase decisions.
• Receive customer payments, handle cash transactions, and accurately and responsibly record sales activity.
• Support proper Pay Station use and ensure transactions are processed accurately and company service, cash-handling, and payment procedures are followed.
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer needs and concerns, working to resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Safely guide vehicles into the tunnel by communicating clearly, remaining aware of moving vehicles and equipment, and following tunnel loading procedures.
• Follow safety procedures around the tunnel, including maintaining awareness of vehicles, equipment, chemicals, and team members.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the lot by removing debris, checking vacuum operation, and keeping the site clean, safe, and customer-ready.
• Help maintain clean equipment and tools and promptly report repair issues to the General Manager.
