About The Position

The Car Wash Assistant Manager Level 2 is responsible for training and coaching staff, performing employee engagement and recognition activities, and supervising shifts. This role assumes Site Manager responsibilities when needed and involves performing and training all duties of CSR, S1, and S2 positions according to company guidelines. The Assistant Manager provides prompt, courteous customer service, professionally resolves customer issues, and ensures customer satisfaction. They are responsible for reporting all incidents, ensuring the site follows approved safety and vehicle damage claim procedures, and performing other assigned duties. Open availability and the ability to work opposite shifts of the Site Manager are required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • 6 months to 1 year retail and management work experience preferred.
  • Leadership and communication skills including active listening.
  • Experience with team building
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills
  • Ability to anticipate customer needs
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Strong work ethic and professional attitude
  • Three+ years of retail experience, with at least one year in a supervisory/management role.
  • Ability to work in damp and humid conditions.
  • Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 25lbs on a regular basis and occasionally up to 50lbs.
  • Minimal supervision required.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory experience from a Big Box environment or auto industry, car wash or lube store are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully train, and coach staff, perform activities around employee engagement, and recognition.
  • Perform shift supervision and assume Site Manager’s responsibilities when needed.
  • Perform and train all duties of CSR, S1, S2 positions in accordance with company guidelines and performance standards.
  • Provide prompt, courteous customer service and professionally resolve customer issues.
  • Ensure that customers are satisfied and that any inquiries, incidents and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Report all incidents (employee or customer injuries, property damage etc.) to the Site Manager.
  • Ensure the site follows all approved safety procedures.
  • Ensure the site follows all approved vehicle damage claim procedures.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Have open availability.
  • Work opposite shift of Site Manager.
