About The Position

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a CAR-T Manufacturing Supervisor to direct daily production of personalized cell therapy supporting clinical and commercial requirements in a sterile cGMP environment. The supervisor leads a designated processing manufacturing unit—Day 0, Cell Culture, Day 10, or Component Prep—and works with a team on an assigned production shift. The role is based in Raritan, New Jersey, and supports a strategic collaboration between Janssen Biotech and Legend Biotech to develop, manufacture, and commercialize CAR-T cell therapy. The supervisor assigns and guides daily production work, supports manufacturing personnel on the production floor, and ensures tasks are completed in accordance with safety policies, quality systems, and cGMP requirements. The role also supports investigations, operational documentation and change controls, personnel development, process improvement, and cross-functional coordination. Supervisors must be qualified in the process they oversee and may need to participate in production runs during critical situations. If a run extends beyond the shift, the supervisor must remain with the processing unit until batches are complete. This is a first-shift position, generally scheduled from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday, with Sunday through Tuesday shifts on alternating weeks. Hours may be adjusted for business needs. Holiday work is required when holidays fall on scheduled shift days. The role may require up to 10% domestic travel, lifting up to 25 pounds, and standing for extended periods. The supervisor must be able to gown in clean-room attire to oversee operations.
