About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining a continuous flow of clean kiln cars to the Setting Machine. The position requires adherence to safety protocols, operation of a Transfer Car, and performing repairs and maintenance on kiln cars. Additionally, the role involves maintaining area cleanliness, assisting in other departments as needed, and demonstrating teamwork.

Requirements

• Must work safely at all times and avoid working on moving kiln cars.
• Hardhat, safety glasses, and steel toe shoes etc. required.
• Ability and willingness to help throughout the Plant where needed.
• Must be able to lift 85 lbs. occasionally.
• Must be able to twist, stoop, and bend regularly.
• Must be able to work overhead regularly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a continuous flow of clean kiln cars to the Setting Machine.
• Operate the Transfer Car as needed to properly move kiln cars between tracks.
• Remove any damaged kiln car parts and replace with new parts.
• Remove any debris from the kiln car.
• Inspect cars to determine if repair is necessary.
• Maintain the cleanliness of their area.
• Help in the Making and Packaging Depts as necessary.
• Participate in dept housekeeping and meet standards.
• Help out co-workers.
