About The Position

A Public Sector Capture Manager is responsible for the strategic pursuit of a single, complex government contract (often $50M+) from the early intelligence phase through to the final award. Their primary goal is to maximize the Probability of Win (Pwin) by shaping the requirements before the Request for Proposal (RFP) is even released. This role will require frequent travel to Government Clients, most of which are in the DC Area. Ivanti empowers organisations to manage and secure technology smarter through our AI‑powered Ivanti Neurons platform. We help IT and Security teams reduce complexity, work proactively, and deliver better outcomes at scale for customers around the world. In this role, your work will support Ivanti’s mission to enable Autonomous Endpoint Management and deliver better outcomes for our customers. You’ll contribute to solutions that help IT and Security teams move away from manual, reactive work towards smarter, more proactive operations. Your impact will be tangible—shaping customer experience, improving product capability, and supporting scalable, resilient outcomes. Requirements

  • 6-10+ years in federal/public sector business development or capture.
  • Deep understanding of FAR/DFARS (Federal Acquisition Regulations) and agency-specific procurement cycles (DoD, IC, or Civilian).
  • Proficiency in “Price-to-Win” (PTW) modeling and competitive assessment.
  • Bachelor’s degree (Business or Technical).
  • Often requires Secret, TS/SCI, or Public Trust depending on the agency focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s or PMP/Shipley certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Developing a comprehensive "Capture Plan" that outlines the win strategy, value proposition, and specific discriminators that set your company apart.
  • Building and maintaining deep relationships with government stakeholders, including Program Managers, Contracting Officers, and End Users, to understand their "pain points."
  • Analyzing competitors past performance, pricing strategies, and likely teaming arrangements to position your solution effectively.
  • Identifying and negotiating with potential subcontractors or prime partners (especially small businesses to meet socio-economic requirements).
  • Leading cross-functional teams - including Solution Architects, Pricing, Legal, and Proposal Managers - to ensure the technical and financial offer is both compliant and compelling.
  • Presenting progress to executive leadership at various "decision gates" (e.g., Interest, Pursuit, Preliminary Bid, Final Bid) to secure internal resources and funding for the pursuit.
