About The Position

Acentra Health is looking for a Capture Management, VP to join our growing team. The Vice President of Capture Management at Acentra Health plays a crucial role in driving the success of business development initiatives. This strategic role is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities, with a primary focus on government and commercial contracts. The position leads cross-functional teams through the full capture lifecycle, from opportunity identification to proposal submission and contract award. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of the competitive landscape, advanced project management capabilities, and the ability to develop compelling win strategies aligned with client needs and organizational strengths. This individual will also build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams. With a strategic, results-driven mindset, this role develops and executes capture strategies to maximize win rates and support organizational growth. The position requires a dynamic leader who can manage competing priorities, navigate complex environments, and drive innovation across capture management practices. This role includes both leading and mentoring the capture team, as well as directly managing high-priority pursuits and collaborating across the growth organization to improve processes and outcomes. The Vice President of Capture Management promotes and reinforces Acentra Health’s growth culture and has the opportunity to make an immediate impact on the organization’s national presence. This is a remote position which requires the ability to travel up to 25% as business needs require.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree OR will consider years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, capture, or related fields.
  • A minimum of 10 years of healthcare market systems experience.
  • Proven experience with government procurements.
  • Proven success in capturing business.
  • Experience working with mid-management to executive leadership.
  • Strong partnership-building capabilities.
  • This position requires the ability to travel 25%.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 15 years of Health and Human Services experience.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities in partnership with Sales.
  • Develop capture strategies, win themes, and conduct competitive analysis.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including clients and partners.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop proposals.
  • Monitor capture metrics and report to leadership.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.
