The Captive Claims Advocate is responsible for oversight and management of claims, including coordination of receiving new property and casualty first reports of claims via phone, email, fax or mail from insureds. This role involves reporting claims to the appropriate carrier and following up to ensure timely and complete resolution. The position will help facilitate communication, documentation, and understanding between insureds, adjusters, and other involved parties to proactively move claims toward resolution. Additionally, the role is responsible for assisting with the education of agency employees and clients regarding the claims process. The Captive Claims Advocate will collaborate with various individuals, including agency staff, clients, carriers, claims administrators, and captive personnel. The position also requires becoming proficient in state regulations applicable to workers' compensation benefits and understanding mitigation programs offered by various captive programs to educate both insureds and producers.
