Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or Marketing
  • 2+ years of experience in Property & Casualty insurance or a related field
  • Property & Casualty Producer's License, or willingness to obtain one
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe
  • Ability to learn new systems as introduced, including AI tools such as Claude
  • Superior communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task and interact in a professional manner with clients and colleagues
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions needed to move work forward
  • Self-motivation with the ability to work independently under minimal daily direction

Responsibilities

  • Own the client and broker relationship for an assigned portfolio of captive clients — serving as the first point of contact, proactively retaining business, and ensuring optimal service, communication, and timely deliverables
  • Own the day-to-day execution of account management tasks, maintaining client service calendars and coordinating with Financial Analysts on financial statement review timelines to ensure accuracy and avoid missed deadlines
  • Develop and manage project data-request lists, following up on outstanding information and reports and rigorously reviewing all information received for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
  • Navigate and customize services based on each client's needs and expectations
  • Partner with Senior Client Executives on communications and relationships with client service providers, predominantly actuaries, auditors, and TPAs, to build knowledge, rapport, and business opportunities
  • Identify when and how to negotiate policy terms and conditions where opportunities are available, addressing them with the Senior Client Executives and clients
  • Exercise discretion on claim or premium projections and retention levels to help guide clients on optimal utilization of their captive
  • Prepare client proposals and annual meeting documents, assist Captive Department Producers with new business proposals, review policies and reinsurance contracts, and provide data and needs-based support to clients throughout the policy year
  • Manage correspondence with brokers to compile underwriting submissions to assist the Senior Client Executives
  • Create and present actuarial premium analyses to advise on additional coverages the captive could write, at client meetings and with travel as needed (approximately 10%)
  • Create and maintain client compliance documents and maintain client files
  • Participate in department meetings as needed.
