Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Project Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience managing capital projects within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, food, chemical, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Proven experience leading facility modifications, equipment installation projects, or manufacturing expansion initiatives.
  • Experience supporting commissioning, qualification, and validation activities, including IQ, OQ, and PQ execution.
  • Familiarity with automated manufacturing equipment and technology integration projects.
  • Knowledge of equipment transfer, manufacturing startup, or operational readiness programs.
  • Experience working within highly regulated life sciences or animal health manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and resource planning.
  • Experience working in GMP-regulated environments and managing project documentation in accordance with quality requirements.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Experience managing contractors, equipment suppliers, engineering firms, and other project stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies, project controls, and risk management practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP, CAPM, or other project management certification preferred.
  • No C2C at this time.

Responsibilities

  • Lead capital projects from initiation through completion, including scope definition, planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, risk registers, and project documentation.
  • Manage multiple concurrent equipment and facility projects while prioritizing activities and driving on-time execution.
  • Coordinate facility modification and expansion activities within an operating manufacturing environment while minimizing operational disruption.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, operations, quality, validation, EH&S, procurement, finance, and external contractors to achieve project objectives.
  • Oversee equipment installation, startup, and operational readiness activities, ensuring alignment with project requirements and business goals.
  • Partner with technical teams to support equipment transfer and integration initiatives.
  • Monitor project performance, identify risks, and drive mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Coordinate contractor, supplier, and vendor activities, including scope management, project communications, and issue resolution.
  • Support commissioning, qualification, and validation efforts, including FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, and PQ activities as required.
  • Maintain compliance with GMP regulations, site procedures, and quality standards throughout project execution.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental health and safety requirements, contractor safety programs, and safe work practices.
  • Provide regular project updates, status reports, and executive-level communications to key stakeholders.
