About The Position

Executive-level role accountable for building and scaling the operating model, infrastructure, governance, and integration strategy supporting Equities, Equity Capital Markets, and broader Capital Markets Operations. The role partners with business, product, technology, risk, compliance, finance, and executive leadership to enable franchise growth, integrate Capital Markets capabilities, modernize platforms, strengthen controls, and ensure operational readiness for a full-service capital markets business.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in capital markets, investment banking, equities, ECM, equity derivatives, or related financial services operations, with senior-level exposure to front-office business strategy and operational infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience leading capital markets operations, product COO/business management, franchise buildout, post-merger integration, operating model design, technology migration, or large-scale operational transformation.
  • Proven ability to partner with Product Heads, Markets or Investment Banking leadership, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Audit, Finance, and senior executives in a highly regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of equities, ECM, structured products, prime brokerage, sales and trading, origination, settlement, reconciliation, client reporting, and regulatory control expectations.
  • Experience with regulatory frameworks and control environments applicable to capital markets, including SEC, FINRA, Dodd-Frank, Basel III, MiFID II, and related jurisdictional requirements.
  • Experience managing senior teams, budgets, vendors, governance routines, executive reporting, KPI frameworks, and cross-functional delivery against complex transformation roadmaps.
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Operations, Technology, or quantitative discipline required.

  • International markets experience across APAC, EMEA, or emerging markets preferred, particularly where relevant to cross-border client coverage, distribution, or operating infrastructure.
  • MBA, EMBA, or executive education preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own front-to-back operations for equities, ECM, structured products, and prime brokerage, including trade capture, settlement, reconciliation, fail management, client reporting, service standards, and operating performance.
  • Lead Capital Markets operational integration, including target operating model design, technology migration, process harmonization, governance, milestone management, and cross-functional execution across Operations, Technology, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and business teams.
  • Partner with Product Heads and front-office leadership to translate Equities and ECM business strategy into scalable operational capabilities, client support models, and execution priorities.
  • Drive technology modernization, workflow automation, data-enabled operations, and platform rationalization to improve throughput, resiliency, cost efficiency, and risk reduction.
  • Design and embed governance, controls, escalation protocols, SLA frameworks, KPI reporting, and executive materials for performance, risk, regulatory readiness, and strategic decision-making.
  • Serve as senior operational partner to Risk, Compliance, Audit, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, Technology, and executive stakeholders to ensure commercial execution is balanced with strong control discipline.
