About The Position

Our Capital Markets client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a large-scale securities lending platform migration. This individual will be responsible for driving end-to-end project delivery, managing governance, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and overseeing a strategic vendor implementation. This is a highly visible initiative with broad organizational impact across Front Office, Technology, Operations, Risk, Finance, Compliance, and Product Control. The successful candidate will be a hands-on delivery leader who thrives in complex capital markets environments.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of Project Management experience within Capital Markets.
  • Proven experience leading large enterprise technology or platform migration initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of Capital Markets business processes and trade lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large, complex programs involving multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Experience managing external vendors on large transformation initiatives.
  • Strong governance, risk management, financial tracking, and project reporting experience.
  • Excellent executive communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a lean project environment while remaining highly organized and execution-focused.

Nice To Haves

  • Securities Lending platform migration experience.
  • Previous experience delivering large vendor platform implementations.
  • Technical understanding of Capital Markets technology environments.
  • Experience working within large Canadian financial institutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of a large-scale capital markets platform migration from planning through implementation.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, dependencies, and overall execution.
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise project governance and delivery frameworks.
  • Prepare executive-level status reporting, steering committee materials, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate and drive working groups across numerous business and technology stakeholders.
  • Manage third-party vendor relationships and ensure delivery milestones are achieved.
  • Track action items, obtain approvals, and proactively follow up with stakeholders to keep the project on schedule.
  • Partner closely with Front Office, Technology, Operations, Risk, Finance, Compliance, Product Control, and executive leadership.
  • Support financial tracking and governance activities in partnership with the Project Control Officer (PCO).
