About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Capital Markets Middle Office Specialist within the Agency Middle Office team as a part of Corporate Investment Banking Operations. In this role, you will be involved with the daily activities of the various Cash (U.S. Treasury, Financing, Agency) trading desks. You will work closely with traders, Finance, Compliance, Operations, Market Risk, and other groups that support the trading business. You will understand and manage the trade process of the various related systems, regulatory reporting of trades (TRACE), assisting traders with P/L and risk issues, and assisting operations to resolve any discrepancies related to the respective products. You will also review new and amended trades, cash payments, customer pricing, collateral management, credit, and general ledger reconciliation issues, and provide information to managers and the Capital Markets Middle Office.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Capital Markets industry experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and able to learn new systems quickly
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Outstanding customer service skills, deadline oriented and productive in complex situations
  • FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check.
  • Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification.
  • Must meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in Financial Services and or related experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Capital Markets operational functions, products, and industry
  • Knowledge and understanding of Fixed Income pricing and risk are strongly desired
  • Experience with trading systems such as Catalyst, or Calypso Series 7, 63 or 99 are strongly desired but not required
