About The Position

Citibank, N.A. seeks a Capital Markets Lead for its New York, New York location. Duties: Perform markets and research analysis. Analyze markets trends to generate trade ideas and offer wealth management and investment services to families, private investment companies, and family businesses in Latin America (LATAM). Explain the high complexities and pricing sensitivities involved with structured products to investment advisors and clients. Analyze current market conditions and client risk profiles to develop new ideas and products. Analyze structured product business and capital markets. Partner with structuring teams and quantitative analysts to price and develop new structures. Negotiate with internal and external counterparties in the execution of structured products. Develop relationships with external counterparties to create new ideas and analyze the value of such ideas. Understand client’s views, risk tolerance, and expectations to advise on products that best fit their needs. Review documentation understanding legal implications and framework governing the structured note business. Develop product metrics and aftersales tools used to manage the LATAM Structured Product business. Involved in idea generation, pricing, and execution of structured notes of multiple asset classes for Citi Private Bank’s clients. Perform data analysis to improve business metrics and intelligence reporting using Python and Visual Basic. Educate front-end salesforce on the payoff and risk profiles of the structured notes offering. Work with technology team and providers to deliver new tools to drive operational efficiencies. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Financial Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics of Finance, Statistics, Economics or related field and 3 years of experience as Capital Markets Specialist, Finance and Strategy Analyst or related position involving financial and macroeconomic analysis, and supporting discussions with banks and external investors in an advisory capacity.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in the stated fields and 5 years of the specified progressive post-baccalaureate experience.
  • 3 years of experience must include: Markets research and analysis; Data analysis for business metrics and business intelligence generation; Business relationship development; Technology tools development and production projects; Programming in Python and Visual Basic for intelligence reporting, pricing and documentation; LATAM business practices including regional market dynamics, regulations, and cultural nuances in client relations; and Communicating with stakeholders to deliver and close on client investment proposals.
