About The Position

This is a remote internship opportunity for Summer 2025, targeting finance, accounting, or math majors. The Capital Markets Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting lock desk operations, analyzing pricing, and learning the intricacies of the mortgage industry. The role involves supporting the team with increased loan volume and specialized loan products like Non-QM, DPA, and Construction loans. The intern will be a valued team member with meaningful responsibilities and exposure to real-world financial decision-making in the mortgage sector.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Math, or a related field.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUPs, and charts).
• Detail-driven, dependable, and ready to take initiative.
• Able to work well independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Python or SQL.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily lock desk operations, including loans and products that are priced and locked manually.
• Support pricing decisions, investor comparisons, and margin analysis through data diving.
• Help manage peak workloads by ensuring timely and accurate processing of tasks related to loan pricing and investor communication.
• Utilize Excel skills (possibly Python or SQL) to support reporting, pricing models, and data integrity projects.
