About The Position

This role supports the marketing and execution of interest rate hedging solutions for PNC’s corporate and institutional client base. Working alongside senior marketers, the Associate serves as day-to-day support and back up across the desk—managing client onboarding, idea generation, pitch book creation, indicative pricing, trade booking, market updates, and post-trade follow-ups, while coordinating with credit, legal, settlements and other internal service partners. DPG marketers partner closely with the trading desk and with C&IB coverage partners—Corporate Banking, Debt Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, Foreign Exchange, and Treasury Management—to cohesively market the bank and are expected to collaborate seamlessly across the platform. The successful candidate will be focused on building strong client relationships while helping foster a strong risk-mitigating and compliance-driven culture. This is a high-visibility seat with a clear path to a client-facing marketing role.

Requirements

  • Derivatives, Fixed Income, Securities Sales, or Capital Markets experience
  • Direct experience marketing and/or executing Interest Rate Derivative products—including swaps, swaptions, caps, floors, cross-currency swaps, and Treasury locks—for corporate clients
  • Solid understanding of the complexities of the derivatives markets and the pricing of fixed income derivative products
  • Familiarity with ISDA documentation and terms
  • Familiarity with credit risk concepts, including CVA, DVA, and FVA
  • Strong interest in global macro markets and market developments
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex financial concepts into simple terms and actionable steps
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, exhibiting initiative, ownership, and flexibility, and to perform effectively under pressure

Responsibilities

  • Generate trade ideas, prepare marketing materials, write market commentaries, conduct swap portfolio analytics and peer analyses, provide indicative pricing tailored to each client's risk management needs, and support business development initiatives.
  • Manage the client onboarding process and take initiative across credit lines, ISDA documentation, and trade confirmations, coordinating required internal approvals
  • Partner closely with counterparts in Trading, as well as Corporate Banking, Debt Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, and Foreign Exchange
  • Partners with senior sales team members in supporting the sales process and execution of capital markets transactions.
  • Works as part of an assigned sales team to support the execution of capital markets transactions.
  • Independently performs financial analyses, conducts research and prepares reports and supporting documents.
  • Coordinates core work-sets such as due diligence, document processing and industry/company analysis.
  • Partners with senior team members in developing pitches and providing client relationship support.
  • Monitors and develops industry, client, product, market and regulatory knowledge.
  • Gains proficiency with all tools, systems and other resources.
