About The Position

Responsible for assisting in building the Capital Markets Whole Loan Trading platform and for developing, structuring and executing strategic transactions through new Capital Markets – Structured Finance initiatives in order to optimize the bank’s balance sheet and to improve the company’s financial performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field
  • 0 – 2 years of experience in Whole Loan Acquisitions / Divestitures, Debt Capital Markets, Structured Finance, Specialty Lending and / or Investment Banking.
  • Recent College graduates will be considered.
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to articulate investment merits to potential capital partners

Responsibilities

  • Assist in building and leading the bank’s Capital Markets Whole Loan Trading platform.
  • Provides analytical and operational support in managing the bank’s Secondary Whole Loan Trading business.
  • Leads day-to-day Loan Trading operations and reporting responsibilities.
  • Assist in the evaluation, structuring and execution of potential new Capital Markets structured finance transactions including securitization, whole loan sales and forward flow agreements.
  • Assist in driving execution with top investment banks, insurance companies, hedge funds, credit funds and private institutional investors to fund off balance sheet assets.
  • Assist in developing and enhancing relationships with capital sources, institutional investors, rating agencies and law firms.
  • Prepare investor due diligence information to position Pathwards assets in the Capital Markets.
  • Responsible for designing, building and scaling the operational framework for the banks Whole Loan Trading platform.
  • Assist the Capital Markets Data Analytics team in developing financial models relating to asset performance and pricing.
  • Manage day-to-day communication and due diligence requests from capital market partners.
  • Develop and maintain investor reporting requirements, surveillance, internal dashboard reporting and Monthly Business reviews.
  • Develop and update marketing material for prospective investors.
  • Create and maintain investor databases and transaction comparables.
  • Identify and implement new concepts, best practices and approaches related to Capital Markets reporting and operational & credit risk management.
  • Assist in overseeing all third-party Capital Markets financial and operational audits.
  • Support the Chief Investment Officer and Head of Capital Markets in other assigned tasks.
