Under direction, this position is responsible for the management of Public Service Department Capital Improvement Projects and Public Private Partnership Projects; performs related duties as required. This role involves acting as an engineer-in-charge for moderately large construction and/or maintenance projects, reviewing and interpreting plans and specifications, evaluating design, schedule, and scope, and providing technical advice. The position also includes supervising and evaluating professional and technical staff, reviewing designs for conformance to regulations and principles, and serving as a liaison to various stakeholders. Additionally, the role requires preparing comprehensive technical reports, maintaining engineering files, operating computer software for plans and maps, and preparing preliminary plans, proposals, specifications, and cost estimates.
