About The Position

Join Novolex in Cedar Rapids as a Capital Equipment Assembly Technician. This role involves working with complex commercial packaging machinery, seeing the full system come together from frame to final test. You will be hands-on with the integration of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic assemblies, contributing to products used by customers around the world. The position offers a climate-controlled work environment with a Monday-Friday schedule from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• A.A.S. in Industrial Maintenance Technology, or 2–5 years of mechanical/electrical maintenance or capital equipment assembly experience in manufacturing.
• WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate (Silver or higher).

Responsibilities

• Assemble large commercial consumer packaging equipment and subassemblies.
• Position piece parts in the machine frame according to specifications.
• Connect electrical wiring, mechanical components, and pneumatic parts.
• Execute established operational tests to verify correct function.
