About The Position

The Capital Buyer/Systems Specialist, within the Biomedical Engineering Service department, is responsible for procuring all operational and routine capital purchases of furniture and equipment across the system. The position supports non-routine and non-standard furniture and equipment quotes and purchases across the system. It is also responsible for all operational procurement software systems.

Requirements

• Three years of business experience or equivalent work experience directly related to purchasing, project coordination, product research, customer service, or supply chain; healthcare experience is preferred.
• High school diploma, GED, or certificate.

Nice To Haves

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Functional knowledge of supply chain systems and processes, preferably PeopleSoft.
• Project and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize a variety of duties.
• Proficiency with advanced computer software and databases in a Windows environment, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Smartsheets.
• Ability to take initiative, work with little supervision, and solve problems independently.
• Proficiency with an ERP system, preferably PeopleSoft.
• Associate's degree.
