About The Position

Based in Shenzhen, the CapEx Operations Program Manager leads on-site capital equipment program management at a designated contract manufacturing site. The role drives execution of program plans for new and sustaining operations, planning and executing capital equipment deployment to support manufacturing in partnership with teams in the US and China. It leads asset lifecycle management and collaborates with regional product line executives and contract manufacturer leadership to achieve program objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Background in functional and program management within a matrix environment across multiple sites through the complete asset lifecycle.
• Understanding of product development and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in written and verbal English.
• Competency in spreadsheet and presentation software.

Nice To Haves

• PMP certification or evidence of equivalent knowledge.
• Track record of managing capital equipment repair and scrap processes.
• Background in complex capital equipment industries such as defense, aerospace, automotive, or agricultural machinery.
• Familiarity with contract manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day program activities to achieve overall program objectives.
• Lead cross-functional communication between internal Apple teams and contract manufacturer organizations.
• Foster collaboration across engineering functions, operations, and external vendors.
• Build and maintain project schedules, provide timely issue resolution, and manage critical paths.
• Deliver comprehensive project status updates to executive management.
• Review capital equipment consumable spend with contract manufacturers and partner with Global Supply Managers to minimize waste.
• Guide contract manufacturer teams on on-site equipment management, including quantity tracking, status monitoring, repair, calibration, and spare parts, to ensure traceability and usability of Apple’s assets.
• Plan, develop, and execute capital equipment deployment to support manufacturing.
• Lead asset lifecycle management across concept, approval, deployment, transfer, and scrap.
