About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Capacitor Repair - 1st Shift. The hours for this role are 6AM-2:30PM. The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 per hour. This person must be and remain proficient in all Capacitor Repair Operations within the department. They must be able to work closely with the operators and Production Team to repair capacitors and get out of flow units back into production to maintain an efficient flow of units.

Requirements

High School diploma or G.E.D.
Authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship

Must become certified to operate PITs and Hoists
Semi-Skilled work which includes at least one of the following: vocational education, apprenticeship, in-plant, on-the-job, or essential experience gained on other jobs. The usual amount of time spent by the average worker in acquiring the information, learning the techniques, and developing the facility for acceptable performance in a specific job, occupation, or field of work as outlined in the employee handbook and posted salary wage schedule.

Responsibilities

Set-up, trouble shoot, and perform all operations in the repairing / disposition of capacitors and fluid. Example, running the Spy (Helium Leak Detector), aerosol can disposal, fluid reclamation / tank draining
Verify all units have been scanned to the proper location
Review in-process inventory and determines which units should take priority
Perform rework on a 1st -in -1st out (FIFO) basis adjusting for “rush” units
Follow Standard Work.
Complete appropriate documentation –daily housekeeping, scrap tickets, Aerosol Log, Leak Data Form, Non-hazardous Waste Stickers
Check finished product for general quality / appearance
Notify appropriate support group (Supervisor / Engineering) following escalation process for all issues
Perform 5S+ house-keeping activities continuously
Work efficiently to achieve departmental goal for amount of rework on hand
