The CANS Assessor supports child-centered care within the Texas Child-Centered Care System by conducting assessments, guiding staff, and improving placement processes. This role involves performing CANS interviews in various settings, coordinating interpreter services, and documenting data in eCANS and DFPS IMPACT systems. The Assessor will also share results, resolve disputes, provide training materials, ensure adherence to regulations, serve as a subject matter expert, participate in CQI initiatives, monitor assessment timelines, and uphold safety standards and client rights.
