About The Position

Join a fast-growing organization serving the hemp and cannabis industries as we expand our manufacturing and product development teams. We seek a detail-oriented, safety-minded Cannabinoid Blend Technician to help produce consistent, compliant cannabinoid formulations for multiple brands and product lines. We support innovative, regulated consumer products across the hemp and cannabis supply chain, prioritizing product quality, regulatory compliance, and safe operations. Our teams work in controlled lab and production environments to deliver repeatable, high-quality cannabinoid blends for extraction, infusion, and finished goods. The Cannabinoid Blend Technician will prepare and blend cannabinoid formulations according to standard operating procedures (SOPs), batch records, and quality specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety and sanitation protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with production, QC, and compliance teams. The position is based in Lauderdale, Florida and reports to the Production Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; vocational training or relevant certification in chemical processing, lab technology, or production preferred.
  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment, preferably with botanical extracts, cannabinoids, or related CPG products.
  • Demonstrable experience measuring and mixing formulations with strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with GMP/cGMP practices, batch record documentation, and basic laboratory quality procedures.
  • Comfortable working in a regulated environment with strict adherence to SOPs and safety rules.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 25 kg, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and electronic batch documentation; experience with inventory or LIMS systems an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills, teamwork orientation, and ability to prioritise tasks under production timelines.
  • Must be authorised to work in the United States and able to pass background and drug screening per company policy.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately weigh, measure, and mix cannabinoids, diluents, terpenes, and other ingredients following batch records and SOPs.
  • Set up, operate, and clean blending and mixing equipment (e.g., overhead mixers, homogenisers, jacketed vessels) as required.
  • Monitor blending parameters (temperature, time, shear) and make adjustments to maintain formulation integrity.
  • Label, sample, and document all production activities in batch records and electronic tracking systems to ensure full traceability.
  • Perform in-process checks and coordinate with Quality Control for required testing and release activities.
  • Follow GMP, cGMP, and company sanitation protocols to maintain a clean, contaminant-free production environment.
  • Ensure strict compliance with state regulatory requirements for hemp/cannabis handling, storage, and transportation.
  • Operate under established safety procedures, including use of PPE, spill response, and hazardous materials handling.
  • Assist with inventory management of raw materials and consumables; communicate shortages or discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimise yields, reduce waste, and improve process efficiencies.
  • Train and mentor entry-level production staff as required and contribute to cross-functional projects.
