About The Position

The Blend Assistant supports the daily operations of the Blend coffee shop by preparing beverages, assisting with inventory, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. This role combines service, hospitality, and care to reflect the culture and values of Celebration Church in a Christ-centered environment.

  • Accurately tracks, stores, and replenishes supplies to support efficient operations
  • Clearly and effectively exchanges information with guests, teammates, and vendors
  • Dependable in covering shifts, opening/closing duties, and maintaining consistent service standards
  • 1 year of experience in restaurant, retail, coffeehouse, or hospitality environments

Responsibilities

  • Provide in person coverage and support for weekday needs at the Celebration Blend Annex location
  • Create and serve hot and cold beverages, crafted to customer preferences as ordered
  • Prepare coffee for staff needs
  • Use effective customer care skills in taking and filling beverage orders
  • Open and close as scheduled for regular services and/or events occurring during shift
  • Take customer orders and assist with payments
  • Clean and sanitize Blend spaces, including preparation areas and equipment, ensuring items are properly stored, secured, and maintained
  • Ensure high levels of safety and hygiene are maintained in the Blend coffee shop at all times
  • Assist in receiving, storing, and inventorying stock for Blend, ensuring accurate and efficient record keeping
  • Store, prepare and maintain food and drink ingredients per vendors requirements for their equipment
  • Monitor vendor services and maintenance of Blend equipment, scheduling or performing cleaning/maintenance as needed
  • Receive and put away inventory and supplies
  • Maintain orderly counter and storage spaces
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Provide feedback to ensure standards of excellence and guest experience are met as needs evolve
  • Handle cash, receipts, and money bags to ensure the security and accuracy of cash registers
  • Enter Blend expenses into applicable expense system and assist with maintenance of up-to-date expense reports
  • Utilize purchasing processes for ordering and payment of services and items
  • Maintain inventory and order supplies, as needed
