About The Position

The blending technician operates production equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Produce food products to meet all federal, state and customer requirements, regulations, and specifications. Follows established company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Experience in the ingredient, beverage, or food processing industry
• Equipment operating experience
• Good reading, writing and verbal skills
• Strong teamwork skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Able to pull, push, lift 50+ lbs. safely throughout a 12-hour shift
• High School Diploma and/or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Displays a positive attitude in a team environment
• Ability to prioritize workflow
• Ability to make necessary arrangements and/or preparations for next shift
• Ability to direct a crew of 2-10 people
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions like recipes/formulas to produce an end product with little or no supervision
• Ability to create and print labels using Bar Tender Program
• Ability to standardize product
• Effective communication skills: verbal, written, and electronic form
• Strong knowledge of sanitation, CIP, and COP procedures
• Ability to work safely around equipment
• Initiative to learn and cross train on other equipment
• Ability to perform shift work: days & nights and including weekends
• Is familiar with HACCP & Regulatory requirements
• Ability to conduct line changeovers to meet daily production requirements
• Ability to perform all essential duties of the packaging/blending operations
• Must be forklift certified or can obtain forklift certification under company direction
• Ability to perform under pressure and complete tasks on time
• Extreme attention to detail
