About The Position

The Canister Maker role at the Cedar Rapids, Iowa location provides support to the Production team, driving and supporting key initiatives to improve performance throughout the plant. You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to: Running tube winder and bottom capper and check fill weights on tube line in a safe and efficient manner. Performing facility/work area housekeeping duties in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices and company policies and procedures. Following work instructions and processes to ensure food safety and quality. Being responsible for recognizing and reporting people safety, food safety, and/or quality issues. This is a full-time permanent role on the Night shift (11 pm to 7 am). Shift differential included.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience following instructions/process documents and providing effective communication, both verbal and written.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment – food manufacturing a plus.
• The ability to work overtime and weekends.
