About The Position

Taylor Steel Inc. is seeking a Pallet maker to join our production team. This role involves constructing skids and pallets for finished steel products, maintaining inventory of materials, inspecting completed products, and assisting with various production tasks. The Pallet Maker will also support operations on the 72" Voss Cut-to-Length Line as needed and adhere to all safety policies.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to work 12 hour shifts
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail

Nice To Haves

• Hands-on Mechanical ability
• Previous manufacturing and/or industrial packager experience
• Experience in the steel sector

Responsibilities

• Construct skids and pallets for finished steel products according to customer requirements.
• Maintain an adequate supply of lumber, skids, and packaging materials for upcoming production.
• Inspect completed skids to ensure they are defect-free and suitable for packaging.
• Assist with product storage and maintain knowledge of plant layout.
• Work collaboratively with production personnel to support daily operations.
• Assist on the 72" Voss Cut-to-Length Line as required.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Shift Foreman.
• At all times, adhere to Taylor's Steel safety and personal protective equipment policies.
