About The Position

This role involves providing expert leadership and coordination of patient care throughout their cancer journey. The Cancer Care Coordinator will ensure continuity, quality outcomes, and a person-centred approach. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, the position utilizes clinical expertise to support care planning, service improvement, quality initiatives, and the delivery of evidence-based care. Key responsibilities include leading and supporting staff, coordinating resources, driving quality and risk management, and fostering a positive team culture. The role also contributes to education, research, service development, and change management initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and promote excellence in cancer care.

Requirements

Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practising certificate.
Registered Nurse and/or Midwife with at least 3 years post-registration experience and demonstrated competence in the relevant area of practice.
Strong leadership, communication and change management skills, with experience supporting multidisciplinary teams and service improvement initiatives.
Experience in management, staff supervision and fostering a positive, patient and family-centred care environment.
Satisfactory Criminal History Check.
Immunisation compliance.
