About The Position

This role involves providing expert leadership and coordination of patient care throughout their cancer journey. The Cancer Care Coordinator will ensure continuity, quality outcomes, and a person-centred approach. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, the position utilizes clinical expertise to support care planning, service improvement, quality initiatives, and the delivery of evidence-based care. Key responsibilities include leading and supporting staff, coordinating resources, driving quality and risk management, and fostering a positive team culture. The role also contributes to education, research, service development, and change management initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and promote excellence in cancer care.

Requirements

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practising certificate.
  • Registered Nurse and/or Midwife with at least 3 years post-registration experience and demonstrated competence in the relevant area of practice.
  • Strong leadership, communication and change management skills, with experience supporting multidisciplinary teams and service improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in management, staff supervision and fostering a positive, patient and family-centred care environment.
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check.
  • Immunisation compliance.
