About The Position

The Cancellations & Filings Specialist supports the underwriting business by completing cancellation and motor carrier filing business operations. This role may involve creating various legal notices related to policy cancellation and renewal, processing cancellation-related endorsements, and utilizing internal and external programs to issue and maintain motor carrier filings on behalf of insured motor carriers. The specialist may also serve as a quality assurance technician and communicate with agents and regulatory personnel regarding missing information, signed documentation, and clarification of various items and regulatory requirements on behalf of the company and insureds.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • 2 years related college courses or equivalent
  • 2-3 years related work experience
  • Basic math skills
  • Proficiency with personal computer and related software
  • Ability to work independently and organize time and resources to handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to work with detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service

Responsibilities

  • Completes cancellation and motor carrier filing business operations.
  • Creates various legal notices related to cancellation and renewal of a policy.
  • Processes cancellation related endorsements.
  • Utilizes internal and external programs to issue and maintain motor carrier filings on behalf of insured motor carriers.
  • Serves as quality assurance technician.
  • Communicates with agents and regulatory personnel for missing information, signed documentation and clarification of various items and regulatory requirements on behalf of the company and insureds.
  • Maintains accurate job descriptions, evaluates roles, and determines job classifications and salary ranges.
  • Analyzes market data, benchmarks jobs, and supports salary structures and annual compensation programs.
  • Prepares compensation reports, ensures regulatory compliance, and conducts payroll audits.
  • Manages and maintains the Workday compensation system, including updates and issue resolution.
  • Assists with payroll reporting and audit requests.
  • Educates employees and managers on compensation programs and policies.
