About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Dealership Cancellations Clerk to work in our Central Office. This role involves processing cancellations of F&I products, GAP, and service contracts, calculating refunds, and coordinating with the accounting department. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting or automotive dealership office work, strong data entry skills, and proficiency in MS Office or DMS software.

  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn, warranty policies.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work with lenders and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Handling cancellations of F&I (Finance and Insurance) products, GAP, and service contracts.
  • Calculating accurate prorated refunds.
  • Posting cancellations to the Dealership Management System (DMS).
  • Coordinating with the accounting department for refund checks.
  • Submitting cancellation requests to vendors and tracking their status.
  • Maintaining detailed, compliant records of all canceled contracts.
  • Resolving customer inquiries regarding cancellations.
