About The Position

Carrier Sekani Family Services (CSFS) is seeking a Canadian Prenatal Nutrition Coordinator in Vanderhoof, BC. CSFS is a leader in Indigenous health and family services, emphasizing culture in its operations. This part-time role involves developing and facilitating parent support groups, identifying high-risk pregnancies, organizing and delivering good food bags/boxes, tracking expenses, completing reports, assisting with funding proposals, and conducting site visits with the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC). The organization values responsibility, compassion, honesty, integrity, trust, and respect, and supports lifelong learning and professional development.

Requirements

  • Certificate Early Child Development, Child and Youth Care, Social Work, or a related field; or
  • DONA International certified Doula, and
  • Other relevant child development courses

Responsibilities

  • Develop and facilitate parent support groups
  • Develop contact list of women who may present with a high-risk pregnancy
  • Organize good food bags/ boxes and deliver to clients or other service organizations
  • Expense tracking (Travel, supplies/Materials)
  • Complete monthly, quarterly and annual reports to required committees and Boards
  • Additional funding proposals; tracking of additional funding and funding report submitted at the end of term
  • Conduct site Visits with the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC)
