About The Position

The Chesterman Company, an independent Coca-Cola Bottler serving the Midwest since 1872, is seeking a Can Line Operator for their Sioux City, Iowa location. This full-time position involves operating and maintaining equipment on the can line and providing backup support on the bottle line. Requirements

High-School Diploma/GED
No experience necessary – on the job training is performed

Problem Solving Skills
Must be able to read, speak, and write in English to be able to communicate with supervisor and co-workers and to operate equipment.

Responsibilities

Start up, operate, and shut down equipment on the can line.
Work as a backup on the bottle line as needed.
Learn and operate all machinery on the can line and bottle line.
Watch operation of palletizers.
Operate the can line filler/seamer safely and efficiently.
Operate the Hicone, tray maker and the multi-packer effectively and efficiently.
Keep multipacker running.
Change over products.
Watch for crushed and down bottles.
Keep floor area clean and picked up.
React to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
