About The Position

This position is for a Campus Support I - Choral Librarian. The role involves maintaining the Choral Library by sorting and re-shelving music, cleaning and maintaining the facility, and cataloging new music. The librarian will also assist the Choral Director with preparing music for rehearsals and concerts, manage records of distributed music, and help with set-up and tear-down for events. Additionally, the role includes assisting with Chorfest music preparation and other assigned tasks by the supervisor.

Nice To Haves

• Preference given to Music Majors or Music Minors.
• Participation in Chorale or UWS Singers course is recommended.

Responsibilities

• Sort and re-shelve music used by UWS Choirs.
• Clean and maintain choral library facility.
• Stamp and catalog new music before filing.
• Assist Choral Director with preparing parts/scores for UWS Choirs.
• Maintain records of parts/folders distributed.
• Assist in set-up and tear down for weekly rehearsals and concerts.
• Assist with Chorfest: music preparation.
• Assist supervisor with other assigned tasks.
