About The Position

Laurel Heights Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, is hiring a full-time Campus Supervisor for the first shift, 6:45 a.m.–3:15 p.m. The hospital provides intensive residential treatment, acute care, and autism spectrum disorder programs for children and adolescents with severe and complex psychiatric and behavioral difficulties, including co-occurring psychiatric issues.

The Campus Supervisor must perform essential duties satisfactorily, maintain a positive work mode, and serve as a positive role model and influence for youth and peers. The role is based in a residential facility setting. Employees may encounter clients who display socially unacceptable, defiant, dishonest, assaultive, or self-destructive behaviors, use profanity or sexually explicit language, or make inappropriate remarks or threats. Occasional exposure to outside weather and local travel may be required based on facility needs.

Requirements

• At least a high school diploma or GED and five years of experience working in a mental health service capacity; in some cases, work experience may substitute for education.
• Experience in a residential and/or acute setting is required.
• Valid state driver’s license with appropriate endorsements.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and policy and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and document client behavior.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of clients or employees.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and calculate rates, ratios, and percentages, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret written, oral, diagrammed, or scheduled instructions.
• Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily and work positively as a role model for youth and peers.
