About The Position

The Campus Supervisor works closely with Program Managers to guide and support Behavioral Specialists in their daily responsibilities. This role is key in helping staff understand and implement the philosophy, structure, and operations of the cottage life program and Hillside’s overall treatment approach. The Campus Supervisor ensures that the highest standards of care and supervision are consistently maintained for both staff and the children in residence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience.
  • At least 6 months to 1 year in a supervisory or administrative role.
  • Able to lift up to 180 lbs.
  • Must handle extended periods of standing, walking, and physical activity.
  • Must remain alert and responsive during long shifts, including overnight hours.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred or in progress.
  • Training or certification in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), with ability to apply DBT in practice.

Responsibilities

  • Support staff in understanding the goals and methods of Hillside’s treatment program.
  • Supervise cottage staff and oversee daily operations to maintain quality care and safety standards.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate staff; support performance improvement and provide corrective action as needed.
  • Provide direct support and supervision to children in daily routines and therapeutic activities.
  • Communicate important behavioral updates to the clinical team.
  • Act as a liaison with schools, courts, and community service providers.
  • Attend and contribute to regular meetings with Residential and Clinical teams.
  • Step in to cover Behavioral Specialist duties in emergencies.
  • Transport children as needed for appointments or court.
  • Complete daily documentation, campus checks, and reports.
  • Monitor safety and conduct regular environmental and emergency drills.
  • Ensure proper procedures are followed in shared areas like the Dining Hall and school.
  • Manage shift coverage, break schedules, and supervise campus visits.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and handle administrative duties as required.
  • Conduct camera and overnight report reviews to support child safety.
  • Address and resolve non-abuse related grievances.
  • Submit incident reports (e.g., accidents, injuries) and follow up appropriately.
  • Ensure the Accessibility Plan is followed by addressing barriers for children, staff, and stakeholders
  • Support ongoing staff training, including gathering documentation and ensuring completion of required sessions.
