About The Position

Essex North Shore is seeking a Campus Security Team Member. The Campus Security Team Member is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the campus community by patrolling the premises, responding to emergencies, and enforcing District policies and regulations. The Campus Security Team Member provides a visible security presence and assists with maintaining a safe environment for all. CORI, SAFIS and SORI required. Bilingual preferred.

Requirements

• An associate's degree in criminal justice or a related field is required.
• CORI, SAFIS and SORI required.
• CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Valid Massachusetts driver’s license.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and a strong self-starter.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues.
• Good attendance record.
• Positive attitude.
• Able to follow the District’s policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual preferred.
• Law enforcement experience preferred.
• Experience working with adolescents, particularly those aged 14-19.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all parts of the Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School campus.
• Supervise the arrival and departure of students.
• Assist in maintaining all school rules, including but not limited to what is posted in handbooks.
• Monitor restrooms throughout the day.
• Monitor cafeterias and hallways and report any incidences.
• Supervise parking lots before and after school.
• Develop positive and healthy relationships with students and staff.
• Supervise student-athletes during early release time.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities, Farm, and Grounds or their designee.
